Samsung Showcased 70-inch 'Ultra Definition' 3DTV


Samsung is showacasing the world's first 70-inch, "Ultra Definition" 240Hz 3DTV at FPD International 2010 show.

The new panel is based on the oxide semiconductor technology and supports a resolution of 3,840 x 2,160 pixels.

Compared with othersilicon-based TFT technologies, Samsung's oxide semiconductor technology a 10 times faster response time, allowing for smooth motion and 3D viewing of UD resolution content in extra large panels.

Samsung says the next-generation display could support a refresh rate of 480Hz with improved 3D glasses.
