Sony Introduces 14" and 17" VAIO E, new VAIO J All-in-one


Sony today introduced two new new laptop models in the VAIO E Series - the VAIO EA 14-inch laptop and VAIO EC 17.3-inch laptop - and the new VAIO J all-in-one multitouch PC.

The two new VAIO E laptops are available in the same colors as the 15" E -? Caribbean Green, Iridescent Blue, Coconut White, Hibiscus Pink and Lava Black, as well as 3 matte colors?Maple Brown, Silver White and Gunmetal Black.



Baseline specs for the new EA and EC are somewhat similar to the 15" EB. Both baseline models come with a Intel Core i3, 4GB RAM, and 320GB HDD. Graphics are powered by the Intel HD integrated graphics (upgradable to an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5470 GPU) while the bigger EC comes standard with an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5470 GPU that?s upgradable to an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5650. Each can be upgraded with Intel Core i5, 8GB RAM, a 500GB HDD, and Blu-Ray player/burner. Both models also feature Intel's Wireless Display Technology. The baseline price for the EA starts at $769, while the EC starts at $813.



On the desktop, the Sony VAIO J all-in-one PC joins Sony's 24" multitouch Sony VAIO L all-in-one. It comes standard with a 21.5" 1080p HD multi-touch screen, an Intel Core i3 processor, 4 GB RAM, a 500GB HDD, Intel HD integrated graphics, a Blu-Ray player and a wireless keyboard and mouse. Pricing starts at $1099, and they?ll be in stores next month. There?s a beefier version available for $1599, which upgrades the VAIO J with 6GB RAM, NVIDIA GeForce 310M GPU, and an Intel Core i7-620m processor.
