Samsung, Sony, Ship Their 3D Blu-ray Disc Players


Samsung's BD-C6900 and Sony's BDP-S570 3-D Blu-ray players are currently retailing for $400 and $250, respectively.

Available for preorder on Amazon Samsung's new 2010 Blu-ray players have popped up for preorders on Amazon, including the 3D playing BD-C6900. The player retails for $399.99 and has 1GB of integrated memory, supports DLNA streaming and supports Netflix rental. Samsung is also offering its super slim, 2D BD-C7500 BD player for $399.99, while the BD-C6500 retails for $299.



Sony's BDP-S570 is a 3D-ready 3D BD player supporting playback of Blu-ray Disc movies in Full HD 1080p or DVDs in near HD quality via HDMI. The player supports wireless stream of photos, videos and music and access entertainment apps including: Netflix, Pandora (coming Spring 2010), Slacker, Picasa, YouTube and more. You can also turn your iPhone or iPod touch into a remote control by downloading a free app.
