ASUS Unveil Cloud-Smart Solutions, New Eee PCs and e-Reader at CEBIT 2010


ASUS continue to exhibit at CEBIT 2010 this week, showcasing new Eee PC models as well as its first e-Reader, the DR-900.

The next generation Eee PC range facilitate quick, easy and on-the-move access to cloud services with a range of features including fast USB 3.0 technology, 500GB online storage and desktop synchronisation.

They offer up to 14 hours of battery life, thanks to the Super Hybrid Engine technology.

Included within this new series is the ultra-slim Eee PC 1018P, the colourful Eee PC Seashell 1015 range and the Eee PC 1016P, a premium netbook crafted from highly stylish aluminium.



ASUS is also showcasing the hyped DR-900 e-reader. Featuring a slim 9" touch-screen display, a profile no thicker than a pencil, and Wi-Fi or optional 3G connectivity it makes it easy to download content from cloud services.



Users can read around 10,000 pages or twenty 400-page novels on a single charge. The DR-900 boasts a monochromatic ePaper display by SiPix and an auto-rotate function to deliver comfortable reading.

Eee range delivers portable, all-in-one multimedia solutions for cloud computing around the home:

The ASUS Eee Top PC 24" is a home entertainment centre that boasts high visual and audio performance and provides access to cloud content. Set to replace traditional desktops, TVs and audio systems the Eee Top provides a user-friendly, all-in-one multimedia experience within the home for the whole family to enjoy.

The Eee Keyboard is a fully functional PC within the portable and practical housing of a keyboard. It can be connected to any external display for full-screen entertainment.



Asus also showacsed the O!Play HD2 media player. It has a larger capacity 3.5" hard drive and sports USB 3.0 technology.Offering connections to a rich media library, access to more than 20,000 digital radio and 100 Internet TV channels and HD audio output for uncompressed 7.1-channel sound output, the O!Play HD2 is the perfect choice for users seeking a cloud-connected entertainment hub.
