Google is shipping its Chrome browser with Sony Corp PCs, in an effort to compete with Microsoft's Internet Explorer.
As Reuters reported today, Google's deal with Sony went into effect this summer. According to the deal, Google's web brower, which launched in 2007, will be installed in some of the Sony's PCs.
Such a channel could make Google's web browser accessible to more people.
Sony trails PC giants like HP and Dell in the worldwide PC shipments. Google said that it was also looking at striking similar deals with other PC makers.
Google did not disclose any financial terms of the deal with Sony.
