MSI Launches U123 Series in Wind Netbooks

MSI today announced the U123 Series of Wind Netbook, which includes the U123 U123, U123H and U123T models.

U123 Series are light and compact which fit into an A4-sized bag but come with a relatively large screen and keyboard. U123 Series? styling will be different from the round U100. It will have sharper lines and new colors like white, gray, blue and silver red.

The U123 Series use the latest Atom platform from Intel and basic HDD capacity has been upgraded to 160GB. Other specifications include 2GB of DRAM, a 10" display and Windows compatibility.

For mobile business applications, U123 Series have also been fitted with 802.11b/g/n WiFi and 3.5G mobile network cards (U123H only).

Additionally, the integrated TV tuner allows you to watch and record TV programs right on your U123T.

U123 Series use a 16:10 ratio of 10" wide LCD display as oppose to the typical smaller sizes to provide better comfort while viewing or reading. In addition, the 1024x 600 resolution can relief concerns of the full display of WebPages while browsing, giving you the freedom when exploring the internet.

U123 series are embedded with the LED power-saving backlight technology in providing better color fullness and brightness. Furthermore, the lower usage of power can offer a longer operating time.

The frame is approximately 26 centimeters in length and 18 centimeters in width. It is only 33 mm in thickness making it extremely thin. The total weight with the battery is less than 1 kilogram.

Through the embedded webcam of U123 series, the Easy Face Manager function can scan the face of the user and record reorganization through eyes, cheekbones, jaw line, and nose. The user can adjust the level for personal security identification. (One user ID can store up to ten facial images) Furthermore, the power setting of the Easy Face Manager can adjust the standby time. With this feature, U123 series can save power by switching off when it hasn?t been operated in the setting time.

According to the Easy Face Manager Face Identification, you can access U123 series by entering the user?s ID or password operating through Easy Face Logon.

When the users are away from the U123 screen for a period of time, the Easy Face AutoLocker will detect this and secure the system. This is to prevent others from accessing the content of the user. The user has to go through the Easy Face Logon feature to access U123 again.

The keyboard of U123 series increases the space between the keys to 17.5mm, allowing you to be as comfortable as you can.
