AMD Announces Phenom II CPUs For DDR3


AMD officially announced today its new Phenom II X4 and X3 series of processors that support for DDR3 memory and are using the company's AM3 socket.

The company released five new additions to its AMD Phenom II processor family, including the industry?s only 45nm triple-core processors and three new AMD Phenom II quad-core processors. AMD's lineup includes the following new processors:


AMD Phenom II X4 910 2.6GHz, 6MB of L3 cache, quad-core AMD Phenom II X4 810 2.6GHz, 4MB of L3 cache, quad-core - $175
AMD Phenom II X4 805 2.5GHz, 4MB of L3 cache, quad-core
AMD Phenom II X3 720 Black Edition 2.8GHz, 6MB of L3 cache, triple-core - $145
AMD Phenom II X3 710 2.6GHz, 6MB of L3 cache, triple-core - $125



The new processors are are compatible with the new socket AM3, as well the company's AM2+ motherboards. Oter features inlcude a built-in memory controller and HyperTransport 3.0. The chips have been manufactured using the 45nm technology.
