Blu-Con 1.0, a one-day summit for Blu-ray developers, marketers and producers, will be held December 8 at the Beverly Hills Hotel.
The workshop is produced by the Digital Entertainment Group (DEG) and Martin Porter Associates (MPA).
The day-long conference will feature experts who will discuss the many implications related to the creation, production and distribution of high definition physical media.
The program will also provide a platform for attendees to engage in a dialogue on the opportunities and challenges for Blu-ray. There will also be sessions covering authoring, replication, packaging, replication and software tools; a studio creative panel; and exclusive Blu-ray case studies on key titles in the market.
"This event is a call to action for the home entertainment community to share knowledge about Blu-ray?s marketing success while focusing on new opportunities for Blu-ray in the future," said DEG President and Warner Home Video President Ron Sanders.
