HP to Offer PCs With Blu-ray Combo Drives Later this Year

HP is expected to equip its mid-range PC models with Blu-ray combo optical disc drives.

Japanese Pioneer will be the suppiler of the combo drives, according to reports over Digitimes.com, citing sources in the Taiwanese industry.

BD combos are expected to attract the PC vendors worldwide this year, since the recent OEM quotes indicate that prices of BD-ROM and BD Combo drives have slipped to US$95 and US$120 for respectively.
