Fujitsu to Release 7200-RPM 320 GB Hard Disk Drive For Notebooks

Fujitsu today announced its new MHZ2 BJ series of 2.5" hard disk drives that feature a rotational speed of 7200 RPM and capacities up to 320 GB.

The new series is designed for use in high-performance PCs, such as high-end notebook computers and compact desktops.

The MHZ2 BJ series requires just 2.3 W of power for read and write operations, ranking it among the most power-efficient drives in its class.

The new hard disk drives that feature a rotational speed of 7200 RPM and capacities up to 320 GB, double the capacity of previous models. In addition, the series also supports the Serial ATA 3.0 Gb/s interface.

Sales of the new series will begin at the end of June 2008.
