Palm, Inc. is now offering a two-handhelds-for-the-price-of-one deal, in which those who purchase a Palm TX will get a Palm Z22 for free.
The Palm TX launched way back in 2005, but is still this company's top-of-the-line traditional handheld. This device -- which costs $300 -- has a 320-by-480-pixel touchscreen, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, and an SD card slot.
The Palm Z22, on the other hand, is an entry-level PDA with a lower-resolution screen than the TX, no memory card slot, and no wireless capabilities.
Considering both of these models are over two years old, this deal will likely cause many to wonder if Palm is close to discontinuing one or the other of them and is trying to get rid of excess inventory, especially as the company is now focusing almost exclusively on smartphones.
This offer is good only through February 29 and only on Palm's web site.
