Asus Unleashes Multimedia Notebooks Featuring the Latest ATI and Nvidia Graphics Engines


Asus today introduced a new range of notebooks featuring the latest Discrete Graphics Engine (DGE) powered by ATI and Nvidia.

Available in Q1 this year, Asus will ship the M50Sa and F8Sp that will feature the new ATI Mobility Radeon HD3650; and the VX2Sn, V1Sn, M51Sn, and F8Sn with the new NVIDIA GeForce 9500M GS graphics processing units (GPU). The new DGEs will allow multimedia notebooks to deliver HD playback and provide full support for Microsoft Windows Vista operating system.

ATI Mobility Radeon HD3650

The new ASUS M50Sa and F8Sp with ATI Mobility Radeon HD3650 will pave the way for Microsoft DirectX 10.1. Coupled with the new ATI based DGE with PCI Express 2.0 support, these new notebooks will equip gamers with hardware to enjoy games that demand the fastest throughput. In addition, the new HD3650 will feature ATI PowerPlay to allow the notebook to achieve an optimal balance between power consumption and performance.

NVIDIA GeForce 9500M GS

The new ASUS notebooks with NVIDIA GeForce 9500M GS GPU are well equipped to deliver high performance with features like the NVIDIA PureVideo technology to power home-theatre quality videos. With support for Microsoft DirectX 10 Shader Model 4.0 and true high dynamic-range (HDR lighting), users can enjoy the latest games at faster speeds and realistic effects.
