Today?s hotfix to Skype 2.7 for Mac beta gets along well with Leopard?s firewall.
Skype released today a hotfix for the Skype software for Mac that allow users of Mac OS 10.5 (Leopard) operating system to run the Skype software with out any problems.
In addition, the new beta version of Skype 2.7 for Mac adds pixel muscle to the video calls. That?s because Skype has now turned on 640x480-pixel video by default. The updated Skype also offers up to 25 fps.
If the receiver is using a pre-2.7 version of Skype for Mac, or if their machine cannot handle 640x480 video resolution (like G4 or G5 Macs that are slower than 1.25 GHz), the sender?s Skype software will scale the video feed down to 320x240 pixels (or even 160x120, if needed).
