LaCie Ships Portable DVDRW Drive with LightScribe

LaCie has announced the shipping of its new Portable DVDRW Drive with LightScribe.

The stylish, slim drive was designed exclusively for LaCie by designer Sam Hecht, and was created with a focus on pure design. Measuring in at less than one inch tall, and one pound in weight the FireWire or USB 2.0 bus-powered LaCie Portable DVDRW Drive offers mobility for Mac, Windows or Linux operating systems.

The USB 2.0 version of the drive comes bundled with Easy Media Creator Suite 9 for Windows, while the FireWire version comes with Toast 8 Titanium.

The portable DVDRW drive is equipped with LightScribe technology that allows you to burn labels directly onto CDs and DVDs with a laser instead of a printer.

The LaCie Portable DVDRW Drive with LightScribe USB 2.0 and the LaCie Portable DVDRW Drive with LightScribe FireWire with Toast 8 Titanium are available now from LaCie direct and are widely available via LaCie?s specialized dealer network at the suggested retail price of $99.99 for USB 2.0 and $149.99 for FireWire.
