Pixelworks Collaborates with ASUS to Deliver Quality Video Processing in PC

Pixelworks, a provider of video and pixel processing technology, announced today that the company and ASUSTeK Computer, Inc. have formed a strategic partnership to bring high-quality video processing into personal computer products.

As the line between personal computers and televisions continues to blur, people will increasingly use their PCs to watch video content. Whether it will be used to play games, watch on-demand movies, internet videos, DVDs, or even television programs, ASUSTeK wants its PC products to provide a viewing experience equal to or better than televisions.

According to Jerry Shen, ASUSTeK Corporate VP and President of ASUS Open Optimal Platform Group, "Our customers today often connect their PC to large-sized LCD and plasma panels, where the video processing requirements are much higher than on a traditional PC monitor. In working with Pixelworks, ASUSTeK is demonstrating its commitment to video quality."
