New Medium Enterprises will present its VMD technology at the Media- Tech Expo to be held at Long Beach, California on 15 - 17 May 2007 and will be a sponsor of the event.

During Media-Tech's High Definition forum, NME's CTO, Dr. Eugene Levich will highlight the technologicy associated with the high definition VMD format.

Following NME's recent announcement to join forces with Optikey, Optikey's CEO, William Schroer will also be giving a presentation to be held at the event. The presentation will address the growing piracy issues within the entertainment industry and Copy protection for HD formats.

NME's high definition VMD is seen as a 3rd generation challenger to HD-DVD and Blu-ray within the manufacturing industry and has attracted an international network of trade partners supporting the format, including its recent signing with POD, the leading optical disc replicator in the Middle East (Dubai), and the Russia-based Bars Media Group. In 2008 Bars Media will launch a factory in the EU with 12 VMD production lines having a cycle time of less than 2.5 seconds for mastering, printing and packaging equipment.
