Hitachi Unveiled New 5.7 and 3.5 Inch TFT Displays

The TX14D14 offers customers 640(w) x 480(h) VGA resolution in a form factor compatible with existing compact modules. Clear colourful images for all lighting conditions and uses are assured with 350cd/m2, a contrast ratio of 350:1 and 262,000 colours.

The TX14D14 measures (W)131.0mm x (H)102.2mm x (D)10.9mm and features an active matrix, transmissive TFT LCD display with a 50,000 hour white CFL backlight.

Another model is TX09D40 as an addition to the current range of 3.5-inch 1⁄4 VGA TFT display modules. The TX09D40, available with or without touch screen functionality offers the convenience of an onboard, integrated timing controller without increasing the outline dimensions of the display. The new modules will be sold at the same price point as the current products.

Both module variants feature a white LED backlight for the transmissive TMR (Transmissive with Micro Reflectance), active matrix, TFT LCD display producing clear, bright images with a contrast ratio of 300:1 and 262,000 colours. The robust display delivers highly saturated colour images in 240(w) X 320(h) resolution, making it ideal for products such as handheld personal devices, portable instruments, bespoke data loggers and measurement devices.

The TX09D40VM3CAA incorporates touch screen functionality within it's highly compact (W)64.0mm x (H)86.0mm x (D)4.0mm form factor. The anti-glare display delivers bright images at 340 cd/m2.

The TX09D40VM3CBA, without the touchpanel is even more compact at (W)64.0mm x (H)86.0mm x (D)3.12mm and delivers 430 cd/m2, making it ideal for outdoor and high ambient light environments.
