ASUS Rolls Out MW221U 22" Widescreen LCD with 2ms Fast Response and HDCP Support

ASUS today introduced the MW221U 22" widescreen LCD monitor, which incorporated a wide viewing angle, Trace Free Technology to accelerate grey-to-grey response time to 2ms, and DVI input with High-Bandwidth Digital Content Protection (HDCP) support.

A 20-inch widescreen solution, MW201U, is now available as well for those who require a smaller display. "The MW widescreen LCD monitor series is the logical step after the release of products with built-in webcam and powerful subwoofers earlier this year," said Vincent Chiou, Director of Display Business Unit.

No more ghosting and video delays with the ASUS-developed Trace Free Technology, which accelerates response time to 2ms. Teamed with HDCP support, the MW series ensure video signal integrity and image representation quality. The MW221U 22" widescreen monitor delivers 1680 x 1050 high resolution and wide viewing angle. Its viewing area is 27% broader than that of 19" solutions. In addition, the MW221U can also fit two A4 size pages side by side, meaning ample screen space for different contents.

The VW191 and VW192 19? series come equipped with 16:10 golden ratio widescreens, and incorporate wide viewing angle, 5ms response time, 330-nit brightness and 800:1 contrast ratio (max.). Built-in stereo speakers are also included. The VW191 accommodates two D-sub inputs and the optional DVI input, which is also capable of HDCP function support, to meet a full array of multimedia needs.

In addition to wide screen monitors, ASUS launched standard type products as well. The 17" MB17 and 19" MB19 5ms and 2ms response time, respectively. The monitors feature 160/160 (horizontal/vertical) large viewing angles, satellite speakers and front earphone jack.
