Skype for Windows 2.6 Beta Released

Skype released a new Beta version of the popular Voip software.

The changes to the audio library are significant and may make the audio part of Skype unstable during the preview period, or make it incompatible with some hardware where Skype previously worked. These changes are necessary to ensure the highest product quality going forward. There will be other features in this release as well, some of which you may see in this early preview version.

The company does not offer Customer Support for this beta version of Skype for Windows 2.6, and recommends that novice users and those on production systems only use later production versions of Skype for Windows.

Experienced users are welcome to use beta version of Skype for Windows 2.6.
