Patenting-pending Dual Mode Technology enables SL3100 to continue working via wired connection when batteries run out for wireless connectivity

Creative Technology today announced the Creative SL3100 Wireless Headphones which uses both Bluetooth technology and its patent-pending Dual Mode technology to provide for up to 8 hours of wireless operation.

It will be available in Singapore this month for US$129.00.

The Creative SL3100 Wireless Headphones is equipped with an audio transmitter that operates wirelessly up to a range of 10m. With Bluetooth technology's Advanced Audio Distribution Profile (A2DP) and Adaptive Frequency Hopping (AFH) that reduces static interference from other devices that share the same ISM band, users can listen to their music wirelessly as it stay pristine even when they go mobile.

Coupled with 40 mm Neodymium transducers and an audio sampling frequency of 48 kHz, which is higher than the average CD quality of 44.1 kHz, the Creative SL3100 Wireless Headphones promises a new audio quality experience.

Other features include the built-in rechargeable Li-Ion battery. In addition, the headphones will power itself off when the Bluetooth link is dropped.

For greater ease-of-use, the built-in volume and track controls enablesremote control of compatible Creative MP3 players, including the ZEN Micro, ZEN MicroPhoto, ZEN, ZEN Neeon, ZEN Vision and ZEN Vision:M when they are paired with the Creative SL3100 Wireless Headphones.

The Creative SL3100 Wireless Headphones will be available this month at retail stores in Singapore for US$129.00. The standard package consists of a pair of stereo headphones, audio transmitter, AC-DC power adapter, audio cable, additional pair of leatherette earcup cushions and user guide.
