Sonic Solutions announced today that DivX has joined the list of companies that use Sonic's AuthorScript burning engine to power CD and DVD burning in their PC products.

Available now on www.divx.com, the AuthorScript-enabled DivX video creation and playback applications provide consumers with the ability to burn DivX content to CD or DVD.

Sonic AuthorScript allows developers requiring a quick and easy solution for integrating robust DVD and CD recording and playback capabilities into their products, including hardware and software applications, music download sites, consumer electronics devices, and products incorporating the next-generation high-definition optical media formats.
