InterVideo Ulead Will Host the Blu-ray Disc Association Seminar in Shanghai

InterVideo and its partner Ulead Systems, along with Pioneer, will co-host the Blu-ray Disc Association (BDA) seminar in Shanghai, China this year.

InterVideo will showcase its complete Blu-ray authoring, burning and playback solution. As the leading next-generation disc format, Blu-ray offers significantly higher disc capacity and support for core video formats such as MPEG-2, MPEG-4 AVC and VC-1, as well as advanced technologies for enhanced user interaction. With a strong focus on storing and protecting premium high-definition content, Blu-ray has won the approval of leading manufacturers and major movie studios.

In the global BDA seminar, InterVideo Ulead will showcase complete BD solutions, including WinDVD(R) BD playback and authoring/burning software. Attendees of the seminar include world-famous manufacturers such as Sony, Panasonic, Sharp, Pioneer, Ulead and InterVideo.

"The High-definition revolution is upon us, and we are proud to be a part of the first wave of solutions for the new disc format," said Steve Ro, CEO and President of InterVideo. "This seminar will prove to be a turning point for everyone in the industry, as we see hardware and software coming to market."

InterVideo will give a presentation entitled "Blu-ray Disc solutions for the Personal Computer" as well as two product demonstrations. One will be on WinDVD BD as a playback solution for BDAV, BDMV and BDJ, and the other will cover the Blu-ray Disc authoring solutions DVD MovieFactory(TM) 5 and Blu-ray Direct-to-Disc.

WinDVD is the world's foremost DVD playback software, with support for all popular disc formats, including BD.

DVD MovieFactory is consumer disc authoring and burning software. Its wizard-based approach provides easy and fast disc authoring capabilities for everyone.
