NVIDIA Introduces New Quadro FX Solutions


Graphics processor technologies provider,NVIDIA announced on Thursday the NVIDIA Quadro FX 5500 SDI solution, the new flagship product in the Company's line of fully integrated graphics-to-video solutions.

NVIDIA and its many partners will demonstrate a number of standardized broadcast solutions during NAB2006 in Las Vegas, April 24-28, including the delivery of uncompressed SDI output to create real-time 3D for broadcast.

The latest generation NVIDIA Quadro 5500 SDI solution includes 1GB of dedicated graphics memory and leverages the most powerful programmable graphics processing unit available, says NVIDIA.



Also showcased at NAB2006 are the NVIDIA Quadro FX 560 and the NVIDIA Quadro FX 1500 solutions, the latest mid-range offerings to support HD Video output. Both products allow users to preview content in real time on an HD confidence monitor and feature 256MB of onboard graphics memory with dual-link support to drive the new ultra-high resolution (WQXGA) 30-inch panels, which are quickly gaining popularity with HD video editors.

NVIDIA also announced on Thursday six new NVIDIA Quadro FX solutions for high-end, mid-range and entry-level professionals.

The new NVIDIA Quadro product line-up includes:

NVIDIA Quadro FX 5500 graphics processing unit (GPU) offering 1GB of frame buffer memory
NVIDIA Quadro FX 3500 GPU
NVIDIA Quadro FX 1500 GPU coupled with two dual-link DVI connectors, 256MB GDDR3 frame buffer memory, and HD video output
NVIDIA Quadro FX 560 GPU that introduces dual-link DVI, fast DDR3 128MB graphics memory and HD video output
NVIDIA Quadro FX 550 GPU featuring dual DVI with 128MB of graphics memory
NVIDIA Quadro FX 350 GPU that incorporates a variety of architectural features found in the entire product line
