Kingston Introduces Low Latency DDR2 Memory Modules


Memory manufacturer Kingston Technology Company announced on Monday the expansion of their Ultra Low Latency DDR modules and introduction of Low Latency DDR2 memory modules.

The Kingston HyperX 400 MHz (PC3200) CL2 DDR module specifications have been updated to support lower latency timings of 2-2-2-5-1 in 1GB module and 2GB kit memory configurations. HyperX 800-MHz (PC6400) CL4 DDR2 has been updated as well, to support 4-4-4-12 in 512-MB, 1GB modules and 1GB, 2GB kit memory configurations.

Future and current DDR2-based platforms will witness increased operational headroom with low latency DDR2 modules from Kingston Technology.

The KHX3200UL/1GB features a 1GB 400MHz DDR memory module with non-ECC Ultra Low Latency CL2 (2-2-2-5-1) DIMM settings and sells for $139.

The KHX3200ULK2 features 2GB 400MHz DDR memory module, includes non-ECC Ultra Low Latency CL2 (2-2-2-5-1) DIMM (Kit of 2) and sells for $278.

The KHX6400D2LL includes a 512MB 800MHz DDR2 memory module with non-ECC Low-Latency CL4 (4-4-4-12) DIMM. It retails around $103.

The KHX6400D2LLK2 includes a 1GB 800MHz DDR2 memory module and features non-ECC Low-Latency CL4 (4-4-4-12) DIMM (Kit of 2). It sells for $205.

The KHX6400D2LL includes a 800MHz DDR2 memory module with non-ECC Low-Latency CL4 (4-4-4-12) DIMM. It sells for $197.

Finally, the KHX6400D2LLK2 includes a 2GB 800MHz DDR2 memory module and non-ECC Low-Latency CL4 (4-4-4-12) DIMM (Kit of 2);. The suggested retail price is $393.
