Around 20 Game Titles For Revolution at Launch

At launch, Nintendo's Revolution game console will be supported by around 20 software titles, according to Nintendo of America (NOA) senior Vice President George Harrison.

Speaking in an interview with U.S. magazine Game Informer, Harrison, is also head of NOA's Marketing and Corporate Communications, claimed that two thirds of the titles launched with the system will be from third-party publishers.

Nintendo has so far been the most important software supplier for its own consoles. The company's focus on the speed and low cost of development for the Revolution seems to have attracted third partie game developers if Harrison's announcement is correct.

Senior VP of Nintendo America also emphasized on the importance of making an early impact with game titels for a game console for it to be successful.

"You've got to deliver software, not just at launch, but you've got to deliver software in the first six to nine months after launch," he explained. "In GameCube, we didn't have that, we had kind of a drought for six months after it launched. By that time your reputation starts to solidify and it's hard to reverse that after awhile."
