Windows Media Player for Mac Discontinued


Microsoft anounced over the weekend that it has no plans to provide future updates to Microsoft Windows Media Player for Mac and has discontinued official Microsoft product support.

In alternative, Microsoft is now offering the Microsoft Windows Media Components for QuickTime by Flip4Mac Windows Media audio (.wma) files and Windows Media Video (.wmv) files directly in the QuickTime Player.as a free download from a Microsoft Web site.

The final release of Microsoft Windows Media Player 9 for Macintosh at the following Microsoft Web site.
