Samsung to Launch an Ultra-Slim Satellite DMB Mobile Phone

Samsung Electronics has created an ultra-slim satellite DMB (Digital Multimedia Broadcasting) mobile phone, the slimmest out of all terrestrial and satellite DMB phones currently offered on the market.

The company announced on Tuesday that it is to launch the SCH-B340, which combines DMB, the hottest issue of the international mobile phone market, and an ultra-slim design within this week (S. Korea).

The new phone has adopted the ultra-slim slide design, which makes the phone only 17.3mm thick, even with the satellite DMB function installed. It also has various high-tech functions, such as a 2 million pixel camera, high-definition LCD, MP3, external memory card, multitasking, mobile disks and a TV. A ?Movement Sensor? has also been applied, so that just by moving the phone up and down, the user can move among the menu choices, and when listening to the MP3, one can enjoy creating a drumbeat to match the rhythm.

The retail price is estimated to be within the $720 range.
