Philips' 3D Intelligent Display Solution

Adding an extra dimension to digital signage, Philips 3D Solutions introduces its 3D intelligent display solution in the professional market.

Featuring high quality 3D and 2D modes, the intelligent autostereoscopic display promises full brightness and full contrast with true color representation thanks to Philips' WOWvx technology. Leveraging its patented multi-view lenticular technology in combination with 3D display signal processing, the display provides a 3D viewing experience that stands out compared to conventional displays.

The new 42" 42-3D6C01 Comfort-line - now on sale - is designed for applications that require a 3D experience. It allows multiple users to view 3D content at the same time within a large zone, providing a sustainable 3D viewing experience without the need for special viewing glasses. The display can be applied for a broad range of applications, visualizing both 2D and 3D content with high picture quality.

Philips 3D intelligent display solution includes supports from 3D content creation up to true 3D visualization. A dedicated plug-in for 3dsMax software is available that allows existing and new content to be exported to the 2D-plus-depth format.

Using the 3DS Media Player, which can be integrated in existing software solutions for Digital Signage, the content can be played back. Next to the offline content creation, 3D interactive applications - games, gambling, simulation, etc. - can be visualized in real-time, using the 3DS Wrapper that can extract real-time depth information via OpenGL or DirectX. Finally, a Display Control Tool is provided that allows the end-user to modify the settings of the depth- and visualization parameters to their preference.

The 42" WOWvx 42-3D6C01 Comfort-line display system is sold in the USA through Philips 3D Solutions distribution channel at a MSRP of USD 17500 excl VAT.
