Japanese Studios to Release 35 titles in HD DVD Format


Toshiba and other companies promoting the HD DVD high-definition DVD format said Tuesday some 10 Japanese movie makers will release 35 titles of films and other image content based on the HD DVD format.

The titles, to be released beginning at the end of this year, will include Japanese motion pictures, animated movies, the U.S. film "The Aviator" and South Korean films featuring Lee Byung Hun, the Toshiba-led group said.
