Asus Launches Super-Multi DVD Burner


Asus unveiled the DRW-1608P2S, a new Super-Multi DVD DL burner, which supports DVD-RAM writing.

According to the company's press release, the drive will be available in Taiwan early October for less than $65.

Asus is not the only Taiwanese manufacturer to support the DVD-RAM format. LiteOn and BenQ will also introduce DVD super-multi burners next month. In addition, Pioneer will launch a the DVR-110 (BK) 16x Super-Multi DVD DL burner next month.
