Mitsubishi Chemicals Starts Production of 8x DVD+R DL


The media was announced in June but currently Mitsubishi Chemicals has started mass production. Availability in the market will start in October.

The company has developed a highly sensitive organic material that feature the appropriate optical characteristics for high-speed recording in two layers. In addition, the hemi-transparent spacer material used to seperate the two layers of the media was redisigned.
