When the FinePix S9500 is in camera mode it enables one to use the F button on the back of the camera. The F function gives access to a menus with specific photo functions like Quality mode (number of recorder pixels), ISO sensitivity and FinePix Color.

The Quality mode offers seven settings. A high resolution of 3488x2616 pixels in FINE compression to 640x480 pixels, normal compression; used for e-mail, etc. ISO settings are available from Auto to 80, 100, 200, 400, 800 and 1600 and FinePix Color gives access to color settings like black and white, chrome (slight) and sepia.
