ASUS Launches New CD-RW/DVD-ROM Drive with SATA Interface


ASUS today announced the COMBO CB-5216A1T internal drive with SATA (Serial ATA) disc storage system offering faster processing speed (up to 1.5 Gb/s) while remaining backward compatible with Parallel ATA drivers.

The CB-5216A1T is compatible with CD-RW and DVD-ROM and allows 52X CD write/ 32X CD rewrite/ 16X DVD read features. In addition, the CB-5216A1T incorporated Asus' technologies including FlextraLink, FlextraSpeed, DDSS II and CAV (constant angular velocity) writing strategy.
