Sonic Solutions Announces DVD-Audio Authoring System


Sonic Solutions has announced DVD-Audio Creator, the company's full specification DVD-Audio authoring system.

Running on Windows 2000, DVD-Audio Creator provides the capability to author all nine groups, 99 tracks per group, all modes of sequential and browsable slideshows, CPPM copy protection, scrolling lyrics, and multiple-page menus for accessing High-Density Audio in MLP or LPCM formats, compressed Dolby Digital or DTS audio, and motion MPEG-2 video. The new system incorporates core technology from Matsushita Electric Industrial Co., Ltd., and can be used with any of Sonic's DVD-Video authoring products. Sonic's DVD-Audio Creator is available at an estimated list price of $20,000.
