First Opera 8 upgrade Released


Opera Software today released the first Opera 8 update, Opera 8.01, for Windows and Linux.

To fine-tune the well-received browser, Opera 8.01 includes security and small bug fixes as well as JavaScript improvements. This update succeeds the release of Opera 8 on April 19, 2005, which has now reached more than five million downloads.

Accompanying the Opera 8.01 release for Windows and Linux is the final version of Opera 8 for Macintosh.
