ACM shipment increase due to Xbox orders?

Confirming that its fourth-quarter DVD-ROM drive shipments will grow by 200,000 units over the third quarter, Acer Communications & Multimedia (ACM) would not comment on rumors that the increase will come from Xbox orders.

According to sources, initial shipments of the Xbox will reach 200,000 units, matching ACM’s projected shipment growth. ACM has been very active in optical storage drive developments and recently launched Taiwan’s first 20x CD-RW drive.
