Apple updates video and DVD applications

Apple has posted an update for DVD Studio Pro, Final Cut Pro, Logic Pro, Logic Express, Motion and Soundtrack. It has also posted an update to its Intermediate Codec. Both are available for download from Apple's Web site.

Apple's Pro Application Support 3.0 is available in different versions for Mac OS X v10.3.9 "Panther" and Mac OS X v10.4 "Tiger" users. Apple said the new release "improves general user interface reliability for Apple's professional applications" (the ones listed above).

The new version of Apple's Intermediate Codec, v1.0.1, improves compatibility and reliability specifically for Final Cut Express HD and iLife '05. It's recommended for all users of Apple's Intermediate Codec 1.0 who are using QuickTime 7.0. Key changes in the update include improved export performance and improved playback, according to Apple.
