ATI Launches DirectX 9 Chipset


ATI Technologies introduces the industry's fastest integrated platform technology for Intel PCI Express notebooks, the Radeon Xpress 200M.

Highly versatile in design, the Radeon Xpress chipset 200M supports all currently available Intel4 classes of processors. With innovative PowerPlay 5.0 technology, Radeon Xpress 200M is ideal for a broad range of notebook designs including thin and light, performance thin, and desktop replacement.

Radeon Xpress 200M provides investment protection for next-generation operating systems along with support for DDR2 memory up to 667 MHz. With the addition of PowerPlay 5.0, Radeon Xpress 200M incorporates innovative new power management functionality such as Dynamic Lane Count Switching (DLCS), which can reduce GPU power consumption by up to 30 per cent by adjusting power on-the-fly.
