Nero to support Sony PSP video format

New Japanese version of Nero Recode 2 is expected to support a video encoding function compatible with the Sony PSP mulitmedia device.

Users of Nero 6 package will have the chance to upgrade to the new PSP version free of charge.

Nero added a new "PSP compatible" mode in the encoding menu of Nero Recode 2. Any kind of unprotected video currently supported by the software will be easily encoded in a form compatible with the PSP device. Videos will be transfered to Sony PSP through a Memory Stick Duo connected to your PC.

Nero Recode 2 offers two passing encoding for the video files as well as various quality settings. The maximum resolution for video is 320?240, and the bitrate reach the 768kbps.

More information about the new Recode 2 will be available soon.
