Datawrite announced the launch of the range of "Scribbles" CD-R/DVD-R which used a new design process, the first of its kind in the market.
In December 2004, Datawrite had launched a competition to help young British art students gain unprecedented exposure for their talents. They were asked to produce funky, original designs to be printed onto premium quality blank media and sold throughout the United Kingdom and Europe. Ten winning designs were chosen and shown on CDRinfo's coverage of CeBIT in Hannover in March. The CD-R and DVD-R are now set to take over the optical media industry.
