Roxio to Provide Basic CD Burning Functionality for Microsoft Windows XP


Roxio, the well known Digital Media Company, today announced an agreement with Microsoft to provide basic CD burning functionality for the Windows XP operating system, which is slated to launch October 2001.

``This agreement validates CD burning as a mainstream technology requirement for consumers and reinforces Roxio's leadership position in this exciting market,'' said Tom Shea, Chief Operating Officer at Roxio, Inc. ``By providing basic burning technology to Microsoft, Roxio creates a tremendous opportunity to upgrade Windows XP users to the more powerful features found in Easy CD Creator, the best selling CD burning software in the world.''
