ASUS P5ND2-SLI Deluxe Motherboard Series with Exclusive ASUS Overclocking and SLI Features


ASUSTeK Computer Inc (ASUS), the worldwide leader of motherboards, today introduced the P5ND2-SLI Deluxe motherboard series with complete ASUS exclusive overclocking and SLI features.

In addition to innovative technologies, the P5ND2-SLI Deluxe also offers higher FSB (front side bus) and DDR2 support for faster processing and large memory bandwidth.

ASUS Exclusive Overclocking Technologies

The P5ND2-SLI Deluxe motherboard series offers a full selection of overclocking features. These innovative solutions from ASUS enhance system performance, processing and networking automatically, allowing users to get the most out of their computers with customized settings and stable system operations.

AI NOS offers performance boost when it is needed the most for resource heavy applications such as, 3D games and video editing.

CPU Lock Free allows users to adjust CPU multiplier to 14X and provides flexible external FSB frequency increase for significant memory bus bandwidth improvement.

PEG (PCI Express Graphics) Link is the latest technology from ASUS that enables users to raise GPU and VGA memory throughput via the motherboard BIOS for superior video quality.

Precision Tweaker is designed for serious overcloskers. It provides overclocking options for all major parts of the system, including CPU, memory, PCI-Express and FSB to achieve maximum performance.

Serial ATA on the Go is the external SATA port of 3Gb/s storage specification that delivers enhanced scalability and doubled bus bandwidth for high-speed data retrieval and saves.

DDR2 720 Native Support and EM64T Ready

Although nVIDIA's nForce4 SLI - Intel Edition chipset claims to support only DDR2 667/533, ASUS engineers have successfully unleashed its true potential. The P5ND2-SLI Deluxe motherboard series offers native DDR2 720 memory module, avoiding bottleneck when overclocking both the CPU and memory. With current processors supporting 1066MHz FSB, the P5ND2-SLI Deluxe provides superior performance for the most demanding applications. Working directly with nVidia and Corsair, the ASUS P5ND2-SLI Deluxe has been optimized for use with Corsair Memory?s high performance memory, the only recommended performance memory of the nVidia nForce4 SLI-Intel Edition platform.

In addition, the P5ND2-SLI Deluxe is Intel EM64T (Intel Extended Memory 64 Technology) ready, allowing processors to run 64-bit code and access higher memory bandwidth. This feature is great for resource heavy digital multimedia applications to achieve high-quality video and audio processing as well as 3D rendering.

ASUS SLI Features

The ASUS SLI features provide a stable SLI operation, as well as the flexibility to switch between SLI and single graphics card modes. The heat reduction features guarantee high-speed and stable system operations while EZ Plug and EZ Selector are two exclusive ASUS features that present users with innovative solutions for stable operation and user-friendly mechanical interface.

Two-Slot Thermal is a special placement design for dual graphics cards. The graphics cards are positioned apart at a distance such that enough air flows between the cards, eliminating heat build-up.

Fan-less Design is an advanced heat dissipation technology from ASUS that applies a large heat sink for effective cooling of the components.

EZ Plug is a four-pin connector adjacent to the dual PCI Express slots. This is a patented design from ASUS that ensures a stable and reliable power supply that is crucial to smooth computing operations.

EZ Selector is another ASUS patented feature that consists of an onboard selector card to switch between SLI mode (dual graphics cards) and normal non-SLI mode (single graphics card). The switch utilizes a special socket design that allows easy insert and remove of the selector card.
