LG Electronics launches line of LCD monitors with advanced features

LG Electronics has announced a new line-up of premium LCD monitors focusing on design, innovation and functionality. This new line is geared toward today's diverse consumers, from die-hard gamers to business professionals.

LG Electronics has been recognised as a world leader in high-performance LCD technology and development. Most recently LG's FLATRON L1730S won the 2005 Consumer Electronic Show's Top Innovation Award in the computer monitor category.

This new line of LCD Monitors, FLATRON L1780Q and L1740P are eye-catching products, each carrying unique features that best suit consumers' diverse needs. Both models will be promoted as global premium models in 2005 with the aim to strengthen LG's position as the frontrunner in the monitor industry.

FLATRON L1780Q - Perfectly embodies fast motion images due to an 8ms response time. A new stylish and space-saving display, touted as the thinnest monitor available in the world, the FLATRON L1780Q, is perfect for die-hard gamers who desire fast motion images with perfect image clarity. The product is available in 17-inch (L1780Q) and 19-inch (L1980Q) sizes. One of the revolutionary features the L1780Q offers is an ultra-fast response time at 8ms, which is the fastest available in the market today. Along with the FLATRON f-Engine, consumers will enjoy the utmost viewing experience by watching the most true-to-life images on their LCD screen.

In addition, the screen can be rotated a full 360-degrees and with installation of the included software, it has the ability to automatically recognise and adapt the image on the screen according to the angle of the monitor.

FLATRON 1740P- A work of art in terms of design and functionality, the wave-shaped FLATRON 1740P is perfect for style-conscious consumers looking for style and functionality. This model is available in 17, 19, 20 and 23 inches.

The arched back, art-deco looking design is the key distinct feature from previous flat back design and has used a combination of noble black and silver so that the monitor can elegantly form a harmony with its surrounding environment.

Apart from the design, it has LG Electronics' proprietary picture-enhancing chip, FLATRON f-Engine installed enabling true to life images. The stylish touch sensor button at the bottom of the screen is another convenient feature that captures the attention of style-conscious consumers.
