Double computing speed

ASUS motherboards provide complete driver support for 64-bit high-speed computing

To enjoy the full power of 64-bit coding, which doubles the computing speed of the previous 32-bit architecture, ASUSTeK Computer Inc (ASUS) introduced the P5 motherboard series with complete driver support to facilitate reliable upgrade from the 32-bit to 64-bit computing.

The P5 motherboard series is the ideal platform for Intel 600 series CPU that incorporates EM64T (Intel Extended Memory 64 Technology) and EIST (Enhanced Intel SpeedStep technology) power saving technologies.

The P5 Series supports both 64-bit and 32-bit operations, providing excellent system compatibility and upgrade flexibility.

Complete driver support for 64-bit computing

64-bit drivers are critical for the transition from 32-bit to 64-bit architectures and ASUS is the first to provide complete 64-bit driver support. For ASUS P5 motherboard series, the 64-bit drivers are available for download from the company Web site, www.asus.com, as well as in the motherboard support CD.

Double processing speed for twice the fun

All of the ASUS P5 Series is Intel EM64T ready, meaning the 600 series CPU of the P5 motherboard is able to run new 64-bit code and access larger amounts of memory. The P5 Series offer high-quality video and audio performance as well as 3D rendering for excellent digital media entertainment. In addition, the P5 remains fully compatible with existing 32-bit applications and operating systems running in legacy mode.

Performance enhancement with less power consumption

With the Intel EIST technology, the P5 motherboards are able to automatically adjust the CPU's core voltage and core frequency according to system performance demand, establishing a self-managed, lower-power consumption and less heat environment.

The ASUS P5 series motherboards are BIOS updated and Intel EIST ready, providing an excellent leverage between power consumption and system performance for users demanding a cost-effective power management solution.
