ASUS introduces notebook total solution based on Intel's latest Sonoma platform

ASUS introduced six notebooks including W3000A, W3000V, W5000A, V6000V, M5200A and M6000A, all of which are based on Intel's latest Sonoma platform.

These notebooks provide powerful data processing choices ranging from 12-, 14- and 15-inch standard screen and widescreen, offering a total mobile computing solution that fulfils the demands of users at all levels for all purposes.

All six Sonoma-based notebooks adopt an updated chipset, codenamed Alviso, supporting dual-channel DDR-II SDRAM memory that improves performance considerably compared to current mobile platforms. The PCI Express discrete graphics cards are available in the W3000V and V6000V models, providing beautiful image display. The powerful memory module not only enhances performance but also increases the overall system stability substantially. Moreover, built-in Bluetooth option is available in all six models for omnidirectional wireless connection and data transfers between the notebooks and other digital devices.

Besides two new members, the M5200A and M6000A, which are upgraded models for the popular M5200 and M6000 series, ASUS is introducing three brand new notebooks with more innovative inventions exclusively from ASUS.

14-inch widescreen W3000
The ASUS W3000 offers total vision satisfaction for both work and play. The glare-type colour-rich LCD widescreen is perfect for entertainment applications and multi-tasking is now possible with the split window option for simultaneous dual-window display. The hot swap module bay feature enables exchange between hard drives, combo drives and DVD-Dual drives even when the notebook is up and running. With the lightweight design, the W3000 is a powerful entertainment and work machine on the go.

12-inch widescreen W5000A
The ASUS W5000A's stylish design for modern sophistication is perfect for today's urban metropolitans who demand more than functionality in digital devices. The W5000A's special built-in 1.3 mega-pixel 180 swivel Webcam enables an absolute vision field. The built-in microphone and the exclusive LiveFrame software, especially developed for the W5000A, allow easy capturing, recording and playing of photos and videos. The 12-inch high-resolution glare-type colour-rich LCD widescreen is the perfect platform to see and be seen. The sleek and slim 1.6kg notebook, packed with unique features, is an irresistible accessory in digital fashion.

15-inch V6000V
The ASUS V6000V is an ultra-slim and super-light 15-inch notebook measuring at 2.5cm in thinness. It is characterised by a refined and elegant design that represents the most comprehensive solution for professionals who not only demand functionality but also cutting-edge performance. The V6000V's special front speakers project sounds directly forward without any reflections providing rich audio presentation. The highest quality is guaranteed with the Zero Bright Dot LCD policy that promises an exchange, even if only one bright dot is found, with no questions asked. Experience the ultimate in performance and quality with the ASUS V6000V.
