Corsair Announces Entry Into Flash Media Market

Corsair Memory announced the company's entry into the flash media market with new families of USB 2.0 flash drives and Secure Digital (SD) cards.

Corsair's USB Flash Voyager products are high capacity thumb-sized portable storage devices that are ideal for transporting presentations, photos, MP3's, and other files. These USB drives are as stylish as they are durable, featuring a unique retro looking rubber casing that is water resistant. Capable of blazing fast 19 Megabyte per second sustained read speeds, these devices are fully Hi-Speed USB 2.0 compliant, and are backward compatible to USB 1.1. Corsair will begin shipping these USB Flash Voyager drives immediately to resellers worldwide:

CMFUSB2.0-128 128 Megabyte USB drive

The company's new line of SD products are rated at 40X, and support sustained read speeds of 6 Megabytes per second. SD products include:

CMFSD40-512 512 Megabyte SD card
CMFSD40-256 256 Megabyte SD card

According to Eric Ackerson, Corsair Product Manager, "Already being the dominant leader in performance memory for PCs, our debut into the flash market is a natural expansion for Corsair. Our new USB and SD products are phenomenally fast."

Like Corsair's PC memory, these flash products have been subjected to extremely rigorous testing to ensure 100% compatibility, reliability and performance.
