Imation Adds 2GB Drive to its Line of USB 2.0 Swivel Flash Drives

New portable device offers more capacity with same unique "never lose" swivel capdesign.

Imation Corp., a worldwide leader in removable data storage media, today announced it is extending its line of Imation USB 2.0 Swivel Flash Drives with the addition of its latest 2 gigabyte (GB) drive. The new Imation 2GB USB 2.0 Swivel Flash Drive features a unique "never lose" swivel cap design that business users and consumers can trust to protect their important files. The high-capacity drive is ideal for transporting and sharing large business documents and presentations, thousands of songs and photos, and multiple video files.

"Flash drives are quickly catching on with consumers and businesses because they are so easy to use and carry," said Jim Ellis, general manager, Imation. "With its industry-leading "never lose" swivel cap design, the new Imation 2GB flash drives provide a portable, hi-speed, easy-to-use device for users to save and transport their large digital files to and from work, home or school."

About the size of a AA-battery and weighing less than one-half ounce, the Imation USB 2.0 Swivel Flash Drive can easily be carried in a pocket, briefcase or around your neck. Simply plug the Imation USB flash drive into a USB port of any computer and drag and drop large files in seconds. For added protection from accidental erasure or unauthorized access, optional public/private drive partitioning and password protection software is available for free download at www.imation.com/flashdownload.

Imation USB 2.0 Swivel Flash Drives are currently available in 128MB, 256MB, 512MB, 1GB and 2GB capacities starting at $39.99. Imation's new 2GB flash drives are available for a manufacturer's suggested retail price (MSRP) of about $300. Actual retail prices may vary.
