Creative's WebCam Range - Three New Models

Creative introduced a new range of WebCams designed to satisfy the growing demand for instant messaging, videoconferencing and other Internet applications that demand high-quality video.

The WebCam Live! Pro has high-speed USB 2.0 connectivity which ensures smooth recording at 30 frames per second of high VGA resolution video for upload to personal web sites. Its advanced VGA resolution CMOS sensor ensures superior video quality, with clear, detailed images making it perfect for broadband Internet applications such as instant messaging and videoconferencing. It has a versatile three-way base, which can be positioned on any work surface or attached to a flat panel monitor, and a separate microphone that ensures optimum audio quality. This new system comes with Creative WebCam Center software, offering a range of powerful utilities including motion detection, remote monitoring, time-lapse video capture and Smart Face Tracking, which follows users as they move during a live session.

The WebCam Live! is the solution that delivers great video and stills. Its refined CMOS sensor, with native resolution of 640x480, gives excellent video and makes it ideal for instant messaging. Software interpolation allows still images to be stored at up to 1024x768. There's a high-performance separate microphone to ensure perfect audio capture and this versatile solution can be positioned on standard monitors or flat panel displays. It connects to a PC quickly and easily via USB and comes with a large bundle of software for messaging and image processing, making it a great value choice.

The WebCam Instant is the simple choice for adding video to instant messaging and emails, quickly and simply. It is perfect for users who want to explore the potential of including images in communications. It includes a CMOS sensor that can capture 352x288 video, and stills at up to 640x480 (VGA) by interpolation. Its versatile stand enables it to be positioned almost anywhere and the USB connection makes installation quick and easy. Ideal for the first-time user, it comes with a comprehensive software bundle for image editing and management.

?Creative WebCams offer users a choice for every requirement, from budget and high-end desktop systems to compact designs for the busy notebook user,? says Joseph Liow, Vice President of Creative Labs Asia. ?At every price point Creative WebCams deliver tremendous optical engineering, outstanding software, unbeatable value for money and outstanding performance - and all so easy to use. ?I am sure that our three latest systems will help more users than ever before to experience the fun of on-line conferencing and video-based communications,? he concludes.
