Taiwan second-tier makers raise CD-R OEM prices to US$0.10

According to DigiTimes, some second-tier and smaller manufacturers of optical discs recently increased their OEM quotations for CD-R discs to US$0.10, up from US$0.08-0.09, on increased costs of polycarbonate (PC)...

Amid an extremely competitive market, the increased price level of PC, which has risen to more than US$3 per kilogram, has forced many small makers of CD-R discs in China to leave the market and some second-tier and smaller competitors in Taiwan to decrease production.
