According to DigiTimes, Lite-On IT, on October 4 announced that its consolidated revenues of NT$4.866 billion for September was a record monthly high for the company.

DVD burners accounted for 20-30% of the company?s ODD shipments in September, and that figure is likely to increase to 55% later this year, said Michael Gong, general manager of Lite-On IT?s optical-disc-drive business unit. The company expects its ODD shipments for this year to exceed its goal of 45 million units, while DVD burner shipments should reach nine million units, Gong added.
